Identifies the algorithm by its shape, gives you the exact Hashcat and John mode for each candidate and tries a dictionary in your browser. It tells ambiguous cases apart (MD5 vs NTLM) with hints.

Frequently asked questions

Does it crack the hash?
It identifies the algorithm (by prefix and by length+alphabet) and, for SHA-1/256/384/512, tries a wordlist in the browser. MD5 and NTLM are not computed in the browser (WebCrypto lacks them), but it tells you how to attack them.
How do I attack it with Hashcat or John?
For each candidate it gives the exact Hashcat mode (-m) and the John format, and flags whether the algorithm is fast or slow to crack.
How does it tell MD5, NTLM and LM apart?
They share the same length (32 hex), so the tool separates them with contextual hints so you do not pick the wrong mode.
