Sysadmin/Cybersecurity

My foray into the world of computing began at the tender age of six. I clearly remember my curiosity to understand how systems worked, which led me to experiment with the idea of ‘hacking’ to send a message to the television to surprise my parents. Achieving this initial challenge was a great motivator that pushed me to explore and familiarise myself with various tools in Kali Linux.

During my studies in the Microcomputer Systems and Networking Degree, I had the valuable opportunity to participate in the Cyberolympics organised by INCIBE. This experience was undoubtedly one of the most enriching in my career and, thanks to the guidance of my security teacher at the time, I confirmed that cybersecurity was my true vocation.

After finishing my Higher Degree in Systems and Network Administration, I discovered the implementation of the new VET Specialisation Course in ‘Cybersecurity in Information Technology Environments’. I did not hesitate to take this opportunity to deepen my knowledge. This course proved to be exceptionally valuable, not only because of the number of interesting concepts I was able to learn, but also because of the possibility to apply this knowledge in the context of today's businesses. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the sector.

My first work experience in the field of cyber security came directly from this specialisation course. It was a period of intensive learning where I was able to familiarise myself with new tools and adopt different approaches to tackling cyber security challenges.
